Mingo Palacios

Guest Speaker

Mingo has a heart for people on the fringes of mainline society. He grew up in San Diego, and majored in Communications and Biblical Studies at San Diego Christian College. Mingo has been a part of the Rock Church since it launched in 2000. He and his team focus on those who consider themselves no longer worthy of the church, or disqualified by their past experiences to belong to a community in pursuit of Jesus. Organizing nonconventional events and transforming unsuspecting spaces to establish community and a new concept of church, his team engages individuals who are hesitant to be found within the traditional walls of a church. He currently is pioneering a project within the Rock that marries outreach ministries with the Sunday worship experience via streaming technologies. The mission is to bring the Gospel to people far from the church, both physically and spiritually. Mingo also speaks throughout the year to students and young adults about the relentless love of Jesus and the Hope of the Gospel. He and his wife, Fallon, who also works for the Rock Church, were married in 2007, and have a young son named Bravery.
